Nestled in Upham's Corner Dorchester, we're a cozy cafe during the day with a casual counter service and transform into an intimate and lively dinner experience at night with a full bar. Our food is a celebration of the ingredients and flavors of the African diaspora connected from Asia to the Americas — global comfort food. We are a Black-owned, immigrant-owned, and women-owned business.

We are a small 30-seat restaurant: your table is reserved for 1 hr 30 mins for parties of 1-5 guests and 2 hrs for parties of 6+ guests. Please be mindful of your dining time with us.
Walk-ins: Although dinner reservations are required, we welcome a small number of walk-ins at our full-service bar with 6 stools and on our patios, available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We are located in Dorchester in the historic Upham's Corner Comfort Station —built in 1912 to support the expanding street car system. After being unused for over 50 years, it was completely restored and renovated by Historic Boston Inc. and brought back to life as Comfort Kitchen's new home. We opened our doors in January 2023 after a series of pop-ups around the city.
